Antiquing for my Pin - Up Beauties
So, I took a day trip to Salt Lake City and found some amazing antique stores. Captial City Antique Mall was by far my Fave. I found such treasures as a fur stole for some Sexy, "Mad Men" type boudoir. I'm really loving the 50's right now. The GLAM of it and the femininity really lends itself to the Classy Boudoir. My next find was a vintage clothing store named "DECADES". Well, it should be called centuries, because they literally had clothing from every time period starting with the 1800's. I went straight in and found gorgeous 1950's Pin Up style lingerie. Also, for all you military wives I found a treasure! A really cute uniform in an extra small (so it will fit us ladies a lot better than an XXL size :) And, the cherry on top was I found the matching hat in a trunk. So, if you remember the movie "For The Boys" and Bette Middler comes out in just the jacket and fish net stockings and a pair of black stilettos, well you too can be Hollywood glam for a day! If you have a shoot booked with Boudoir by Becca Nae, in American Fork, Utah you probably have approximately one zillion questions about your photo shoot. Never fear! It’s completely, 100% NORMAL to have questions and concerns about your shoot. We also don’t leave you hanging. So once you book your shoot with us, we encourage you to take a look at all of the pictures that we’ve included on our blog. The pictures on our blog are there to help you feel better prepared for your shoot. We also recommend checking out our Facebook page for clients; that’s an awesome way to get in touch w/ past clients, and also a great way to share your story (and advice to future divas), to help other women realize that they CAN do a boudoir shoot, even if they’re nervous! :)So today in this blog post, I also just wanted to share THREE of the “Supermodel Essentials” that I think every client ought to bring with her to her photo shoot at Becca Nae’s studio.
1) Bring outfits that you LOVE! Sure, we DO have a corsets and lingerie, but YOU know what looks best on you. So have a little fun & go shop for some new lingerie! On the day of your photo shoot, you will have a chance to sit down w/ your photographer to plan out your session. During this consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to choose which outfits will go best with which sets, and your photographer will also possibly suggest a few accessories from our closet that might go great with what you’ve already brought.
2) Bring a basic black push-up bra & a pair of hiphugger or boyshort black panties (we love these panties from Victoria’s Secret… and this is a great push-up bra, if you don’t already have one).
3) Bring an open mind… and get ready to have fun! We really do understand that you’re going to be a bit nervous before your shoot… but we hope that you will be able to relax and start enjoying the experience from the MOMENT you walk into our beautiful studio. We hope that you’ll start to feel pampered when you enter hair & makeup. We hope that you will trust us (as your photographer), and that you won’t be worried about how the images look.
